Harry Reid is a Crook

There can be no question about it, Harry Reid is a repeat federal offender.

For three years running he has broken the law by, as Senate Majority Leader, personally refusing to pass a budget and personally refusing to allow any budget resolution to reach the Senate floor.

Worse, I heard this morning — from some guy — that Harry made his millions while a humble civil servant from prostitution and gambling.

Then this afternoon I heard from someone else that Harry Reid's friends are deep into organized crime in Nevada.

Not One Thin Dime. No Cuts, No Way - Democrats

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has just announced that Democrat Senators will next week pass only a continuing resolution that contains no spending cuts at all, but is designed to keep federal spending at its current breakneck levels.

Senator Reid gave his group this week off for vacation, just ten days before the government will run out of spending authority. His solution, a demand for more time!

It would be the height of irresponsibility to shut down the government without any negotiations, as Republicans are threatening to do.

How much time has he wasted already?

To avoid a shutdown and give us time to negotiate a responsible path forward, I have asked Sen. Inouye, Chairman of the Senate Appropriations Committee, to prepare a clean Continuing Resolution that I can bring to the floor next week.

I have asked my chief of staff, David Krone, to begin negotiations with Speaker Boehner’s chief of staff, Barry Jackson, to craft a long-term continuing resolution that cuts waste and excess, while protecting the initiatives that keep us safe, put Americans back to work and keep our economy on the right track.

It is time to drop the threats and ultimatums, and work together on a path forward. I am asking Speaker Boehner to simply take the threat of a government shutdown off the table, and work with us to negotiate a responsible, long-term solution.”

Senator Reid obfuscates with abandon. He completely ignores the fact that the House of Representatives has already passed, not a continuing resolution, a complete spending bill. It's ready for Senate debate, modification if necessary, and passage.

Next thing we know, Senate Democrats will abandon Washington in order to avoid a vote.

Nancy Pelosi no more has the votes to pass Obamacare than she has a solution to reduce the deficit.

The game of triangular ping-pong between Obama, Reid and she is no more than musical chairs, each hoping that one of the other two will be the one left out, the goat hung for failure.

These people are neither deaf nor dumb. They know that massive job losses amongst the political class are just around the corner. They have no reluctance to sacrifice others in hope of their own heroic treatment in the history books for finally completing the century-old goal of socializing medicine. But they're a little like jihadist leaders sacrificing others, always preferably others, to suicide in the name of greater glory.

Nancy Pelosi will not be Speaker a year from now.
