Wisconsin Democrats Suffer a "Rather Moment"
Not since 1987, when in a fit of temper CBS newsreader Dan Rather stepped out of a live network news broadcast for seven minutes, have so many witnessed as much dead air as is present today in Madison, Wisconsin. Fourteen Democrat senators abandoned their senate seats last week. They ran from the capitol building and didn't stop until they had skittered like mice across the Wisconsin border with Illinois.
These Democrat public servants had but one goal in mind: to flee their responsibilities as senators elected to do the state's business.
Is this really the best they can do? Is this the apogee of the Democrat political class, the highest example of service, or its perigee?
