Harry Reid's Senate Bails Out

The federal government runs out of money in two weeks, when its existing authority to spend is reached. The House of Representatives, now managed by Republicans, has passed new spending authority for the balance of the year. By doing so, they corrected an oversight of the previous management of the House under Nancy Pelosi, when she and they neglected to pass a budget for the year.

Sadly, Harry Reid is still running the Senate. He's scheduled a vacation for this week, severely reducing the time the Senate has available to pass or modify the House bill.

Democrat politicians, whether in Washington or Wisconsin, seem to have a propensity for running from the very duties they were elected to address.

So, tell me: Where in the world is Harry Reid?
