Mr. President, Where's the Beef?

President Obama spoke to the assembled Congress and the nation for three-quarters of an hour tonight. He referred a dozen times to "my plan" for the overhaul of the health insurance industry. But there is no plan, no draft legislation, nothing but a speech full of vaporous promises.

His promises don't add up.

There is no beef, only straw in the shape of men.
