ACORN Threatens Democrat Politicians

Little noticed in the hoopla surrounding ACORN early in the week was its reaction to the Senate vote disconnecting its racketeers in the streets from the racketeers in the federal housing programs.

ACORN's very first response was to threaten to shut down its voter registration efforts. Curious, given that the video scandals focused solely on ACORN's tax help and housing sides. ACORN's target was malleable and corrupt Democrats who might be softened by the embedded threat,

Without ACORN you'll be short a million votes come the next election.
Subtle. The old political extortion gambit.

The Democrat Party is the sole beneficiary of ACORN's voter registration drives. So much so that candidate Barack Obama paid it $800,000 for its help in closing days of the last election.

There were 82 Democrats who voted to continue supporting ACORN, supporting pimping, prostitution, tax evasion (Charlie Rangel?), sex slaving, and mortgage fraud.

So, what's new?
