Senator Obama Resigns Seat

Illinois Senator Barack Obama announced today that he is resigning his seat in the U. S. Senate.

Obama said

It has been one of the highest honors and privileges of my life to have served the people of Illinois in the United States Senate.

Did I miss something? When did he have time to do that?

We're going to experience an overload of rhetorical flourishes over the next four years.
