It's a Mean Country. Mean. Mean. Mean.

Mrs. Obama has been fairly critical of her country, saying it's “just downright mean,” that we're “guided by fear,” and further, that we’re a nation of cynics, sloths, and complacents, who "have become a nation of struggling folks who are barely making it every day. Folks are just jammed up, and it’s gotten worse over my lifetime.”

Indeed, it's tough all over, according to the New York Post

While (Barack) was at a meeting at the Waldorf-Astoria at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Michelle Obama called room service and ordered lobster hors d'oeuvres, two whole steamed lobsters, Iranian caviar and champagne…
The tab, for two, $350.

The Waldorf serves several different caviars. It's interesting that she ordered the Iranian.

UPDATE: Shame on me for trusting the legacy media. The New York Post has withdrawn it's story, finding that Mrs. Obama was not at the hotel in question on the day in question. From now on, no single-sourcing from legacy news sources. I apologize to Mrs. Obama for the untrue story, above.

It's mean, I say. Mean.
