Obama: Next Stop "Hollywood Squares"

Barack Obama has become a celebrity for… being a celebrity. Famous for being famous. He speaks well from a script and dresses nicely but has enormous difficulty with the question from Walter Mondale two decades ago, "Where's the beef?"



The McCain ad compares Senator Obama to other celebrities at or near their popular peaks, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Like the Senator, they have attractions for fans. Like the Senator, they have enormous appreciation of themselves and a certain insouciance as to others.

Like the Senator, they are not known by their accomplishments.

Should Senator Obama place second in November, not to worry. He can always claim the center square on Hollywood Squares. They'll hold it open for him.

Even if that means Charo gets booted.
