The media has focused on the $100 million raised by the Democratic frontrunners, Obama and Clinton, and have neglected the equally interesting story that their poll numbers haven't increased a speck since February.

The dramatic story is on the Republican side, where non-candidate (still, though barely) Fred Thompson has moved up more than 18 percentage points without staff and without spending a cent.

Gee, I wonder if Thompson will prove to be an effective fundraiser over the Internet?
